Covid-19 ICU's, Boston

Covid-19 at Brigham and Women’s Hospital - Boston, Spring 2020

On April 30th, 2020, the state of Massachusetts reported 2,155 coronavirus cases and 180 deaths. The data was indicating a slight downward trend in the 7-day moving average from the April 17th case high of 3,024 and the April 25th death high of 201.
While April 30th did not represent a particular data milestone, it was the first of a number of days that Brigham and Women's Hospital would grant me access to immersively document their response to the global pandemic within and around their Covid ICUs.

These images represent a number of the moments I bore witness to, captured in late April and May of 2020. These are only droplets in a sea of experiences had by staff and patients at the hospital over the days, weeks and months of the pandemic.
